Consul General Zhao Met with President of Chicago Council on Global Affairs
On March 21, Chinese Consul General to Chicago Zhao Weiping met with Mr. Marshall Bouton, President of Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Consul General Zhao appreciated the efforts of the Council and Mr. Bouton in promoting China-U.S. academic exchanges. He hoped that the Council, as a leading think tank in America's Midwest, would continue to play a positive role in deepening the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples of China and the U.S.
Mr. Bouton said that the Council has long attached great importance to the exchanges and cooperation with China and will host more China-related programs in future.
Deputy Consul General Wang Shuying and Niamh King, Vice President of the Council attended the meeting.
