CONNECTING COMMON STRUGGLES: DESTRUCTIVE MINING IN EL SALVADOR AND WISCONSIN

The Sierra Club of Wisconsin is co-sponsor of the event series -Connecting Common Struggles: Destructive Mining in El Salvador and Wisconsin, featuring mining activists Al Gedicks (UW-LaCrosse retired), Father Lorenzo Cruz (El Salvador), Jan  Morrill (translator) to engage the public on this critical issue and learn about local and global impacts of irresponsible mining practices.

Presenters will discuss efforts to protect their communities from destructive metallic mining interests, corporate responsibility, fair trade, religious alliances, and solidarity between El Salvador and Wisconsin concerning mining problems.  This panel is also presenting in Milwaukee and Madison. We are privileged to host this event in Eau Claire. Please encourage students and teachers to attend. Our mining laws are under attack. We must fight to keep our laws in tact!
