Precious Waters of the Penokees Photography Exhibit Opening
A celebration of the beauty that stands to be lost from mining

Monday, November 14, 5:00-5:45 PM, 1st Floor of State Capitol Rotunda

Photography by Northern Wisconsin artists will highlight the pristine waters and unspoiled beauty of the areas in the Penokee Hills that would fall within a proposed open-pit iron mine. The event will include speakers from the area discussing the special nature of the Penokees and potential impacts of a mine, and will be followed by a social hour at Brocach Irish Pub (7 W Main St.). All are welcome, and media are particularly encouraged to attend. The exhibit will continue in place through Friday, November 18.
